Democracy exists as a moderator of free will. Humans are in their natures selfish; not opposing selflessness as existent. As selfish demands increase a democracy’s objective is to make sure a minority is not allowed to rule in their demand. But when it comes to political forms democracy is often misinterpreted. Modern democracy is often the majority choice of an elect which then governs. The elect is now democratically chosen; however their acts as elect are not in the power of the people, but the implications of the elect remain in the hands of the people.
